About AGVS
Abhyudaya Global Village School (AGVS) is a transformative, rural, non-profit school located near Nagpur, Maharashtra. Spread across a 5-acre naturally grown farm and surrounded by 23 villages, our school provides empowering education that nurtures self-awareness, problem-solving, and a sense of responsibility among students. At AGVS, education is about discovery, collaboration, and self-reliance rather than rote memorization and standardized tests.
The school is run under Vikalpa, a voluntary organization founded in 1996. Vikalpa is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act 1860.
- To offer interest-based education where students explore their passions through specialized modules.

- To provide competent educators who guide students in their journey of self-discovery.
- To make quality education accessible to rural communities while creating a sustainable model for schools.
- To empower students to be producers rather than consumers through hands-on, real-world applications.
To be a fertile ground where education happens organically,
allowing children to become self-aware, responsible, and creative
individuals who contribute to their communities and beyond.
- AGVS believes in an education system that goes beyond textbooks. Our curriculum blends agriculture, sports, arts, and entrepreneurship into everyday learning, ensuring that students develop life skills alongside academics. Our farmland serves as an open lab where students experiment, observe, and cultivate patience and gratitude.
- Learning Environment: The school fosters a collaborative and compassion-rich learning environment. It believes children can actively participate in their education and contribute to the prosperity of their villages. AGVS also believes that bringing an authentic context to learning can help students generate new ideas.
- Unique Approach: AGVS challenges the traditional, structured schooling model, emphasizing conceptual understanding over memorization. Instead of competition, students are encouraged to score by collaboration. They are encouraged to be producers rather than merely consumers. The school utilizes mother nature as a teacher, with students practicing agriculture on personal and collaborative plots, cultivating qualities like patience and gratitude.
