Most schools educate one part of a child — the mind. At AGVS, we educate all five.
Drawn from ancient Indian philosophical tradition, the Panchkosha framework recognizes that a human being is not just an intellect to be sharpened — but a body to be strengthened, an energy to be balanced, a heart to be developed, and a spirit to be awakened. Every learning experience at AGVS is designed with this wholeness in mind.
And because development unfolds in seasons, not all at once, we have structured this holistic education across four distinct stages — each one honouring where the child actually is, and building from there with intention.

THE 5 Kosha’s — Our Philosophical Foundation

Annamaya Kosha ​

The Physical Sport, nutrition, farm work, and outdoor activity. A strong, healthy body is not separate from learning — it is the foundation of it. At AGVS, children move, build, grow, and discover what their bodies are capable of every single day.

Pranamaya Kosha

The Vital Energy Breath work, movement, rhythm, and yoga. When a child learns to regulate their own energy — to arrive calm, to recover quickly, to stay present — everything else becomes possible. This is the layer that sustains learning when things get hard

Manomaya Kosha

The Mind Emotional intelligence, empathy, reflection, and self-awareness. At AGVS, how a child feels is never treated as secondary to how a child performs. We build classrooms — and communities — where children learn to understand themselves and one another.

Vijnanamaya Kosha

The Intellect Critical thinking, inquiry, problem-solving, and systems reasoning. This is the layer most schools stop at. At AGVS, it is one of five. We develop the intellect rigorously — through project-based learning, real-world challenges, and the kind of thinking that no exam can fully capture.

Anandamaya Kosha

The Blissful Self Creativity, purpose, joy, and meaning. When a child finds genuine delight in what they are learning — when effort becomes flow — something irreversible happens. They become self-driven. This is the deepest layer, and the one we are always working toward.

THE FOUR DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES

These five layers do not develop all at once. They unfold across childhood — which is why AGVS structures its learning journey into four distinct developmental stages, each designed for a specific season of growth.

Aadhaar

Foundation
Nursery to Grade 2

This is where the relationship with learning begins — and we protect it carefully. Children build sensory, language, and number foundations through play, exploration, and discovery. Nothing is rushed or forced. The world itself is the classroom, and curiosity is the only prerequisite.

Jigyasa

Curiosity
Grades 3 to 5

As children grow, so does their hunger to understand. Foundational academics are explored through sports, arts, and creative expression — so that subjects feel like discoveries, not obligations. Questions are celebrated here, never suppressed.

Anubhav

Experience
Grades 6 to 9

This is where learning becomes doing. Students engage in advanced project-based work, systems thinking, and life skills — using the circular campus itself as their laboratory. By this stage, children are not just learning about the world. They are beginning to contribute to it.

Lakshya

Goal
Grade 10

Board exams are a reality — and AGVS prepares students for them fully, without abandoning everything that came before. With a 100% pass rate across four consecutive years, and scores ranging from 65% to 91%, we have proven that rigour and depth can coexist. Marks are a milestone. They are not the measure.
