Our Approach Through Technology

TECHNOLOGY AS A TOOL, NOT A CRUTCH

In a rural setting with intermittent power and slow internet, AGVS has had to be inventive with technology. Computers are used as earned privileges through the LU economy. Digital tools are introduced with purpose — not as a default. As the school grows, technology is being integrated carefully into learning, record-keeping, and community communication.

Earned Screen Time

Computer access at AGVS is not a given — it is earned through the LU economy. This ensures children approach technology with intention and respect, not habit or dependence.

Documenting Journey

Each child’s learning journey is digitally documented — creating a living record of growth that goes far beyond marks. This helps facilitators track progress, spot patterns, and personalize their support over time.

Open Lab

The vision extends beyond AGVS’s own campus. A shared Open Lab — accessible to neighbouring rural schools — will give children across the region hands-on experience with technology they would otherwise never encounter.

EdTech

Digital tools are being introduced into the pedagogy framework gradually and deliberately — chosen for what they add to learning, not for novelty. At AGVS, technology serves the curriculum. The curriculum does not serve technology.
